  • Sigma 47th Biennial Convention - November 11-15, 2023

    Call to Action: Xi Theta Chapter has a limited opportunity to support members to attend the International Sigma Biennial Convention in November, 2023 as: 

      1. Non-Delegates - opportunities based on funds availability

    If you are interested in volunteering to represent the Xi Theta Chapter as a non-delegate to the 2023 Biennial Sigma Convention, November 11-16, 2023 in San Antonio, please email Dale Mueller on dmueller@csudh.edu by August 15, 2023 for participating in the convention as non-delegate.

    Include "Sigma Biennial Call to action" in your email subject line. Also provide your full name, contact email/phone, and your preferred platform for attendance (virtual or in person) and whether you are interested participating as a non-delegate. Visit the Sigma Conference and events site on https://www.sigmanursing.org/connect-engage/meetings-events. for further details on the Biennial Convention.

    Qualifications to represent as non-delegate attendee: 

    1. Active Xi Theta Membership
    2. Application requesting sponsorship to 2023 Sigma Biennial Convention by the specified deadline
    3. Post-convention: provide a report on your experience to be published on Xi Theta newsletter, including but not limited to pictures.

  • 26th SoCal Odyssey Conference

    Registration is now open for the Odyssey Conference, October 13-14, 2022 at the DoubleTree San Diego Mission Valley. 

    The RN conference rate is $320 or daily $185.
    Student conference rate is $175 or daily $100
    Retired RN conference rate is $185 or daily $105

  • Sigma Convention - Nov 6-10, 2021

    This year approximately 2000 Sigma nurses will attend the Convention in Indianapolis or virtually to celebrate 100 years of history.  Please consider joining us in person or virtually.  There are 6 Board members that will be attending in person.  The early registration deadline is Sept. 15th. If you are interested in requesting financial support from Xi Theta to attend the Convention, the application form is posted in The Circle or you can reach out to a Chapter Leader.

  • Elections are coming up at the end of the year!

    And what a year this has been! Within the next month we will be listing the leadership positions that need to be filled, the qualifications for those positions, and how to self nominate.  Everything is currently done online so I am hoping you feel you have the time to participate.  We will also be holding a few online chats to describe what each position includes and offer you an opportunity to ask questions.   • Chapter Leadership

    The Board has been meeting monthly since last Spring to revitalize the organization.  We have send out surveys, provided grants for those members in need during this challenging year, as well as holding an online virtual induction in May.  We have increased communication to bolster our membership and will be sending opportunities for participation regularly.  We are now discussing ways to give back to the community.  Wouldn't you like to become involved?  Unfortunately Odyssey has been cancelled for this Fall so we will miss that opportunity to be together.  If you have any ideas about working together virtually, please feel free to share them.  We have elections coming up at the end of the year and are planning to expand our Board so we have more voices when it comes to activities.  If you have any ideas, please feel free to email me, Kathy Chai,  at kchai@csudh.edu
